गर्भसंस्कार कधी करावा?

• गर्भसंस्कार विधी स्त्रीच्या ९ महिन्यांच्या गर्भावस्थेत दोन वेळा केला जातो. या दोन्ही टप्प्यांचे वेगळे आध्यात्मिक व शास्त्रीय महत्त्व आहे.
• पहिला संस्कार म्हणजे पुंसवन संस्कार, जो साधारणतः गर्भधारणेनंतर २ ते ३ महिन्यांच्या दरम्यान केला जातो. या काळात बाळाचे पहिले स्पंदन म्हणजेच हृदयाचा पहिला ठोका अनुभवता येतो. त्या क्षणी बाळाचे आरोग्य उत्तम राहावे, गर्भधारणेतील सूक्ष्म दोष नष्ट व्हावेत आणि गर्भ मजबूत व्हावा, या उद्देशाने हा संस्कार केला जातो.
• दुसरा संस्कार म्हणजे सीमंतोन्नयन संस्कार, जो गर्भधारणेनंतर साधारणतः ६ ते ८ महिन्यांच्या दरम्यान केला जातो. या संस्कारामुळे बाळाची रोगप्रतिकारक शक्ती वाढावी, तसेच आई-बाळ दोघांचेही आरोग्य, मनःशांती व भावनिक स्थैर्य टिकून राहावे, हा मुख्य उद्देश असतो.
• पहिला संस्कार (पुंसवन संस्कार) राहिला असेल तर ६व्या ते ८व्या महिन्यात दोन्हीही संस्कार एकत्र करता येतात.

वंदन मार्फत गर्भसंस्कार विधी शास्त्रोक्त पद्धतीने कसा केला जातो?

• पूजेची सुरुवात करण्यापूर्वी शरीर व मन शुद्ध केले जाते. यासाठी आचमन व प्राणायाम केले जातात, ज्यामुळे पूजेसाठी मानसिक व आध्यात्मिक तयारी होते.
• त्यानंतर संकल्प विधी केला जातो. या टप्प्यात देवतांना आमंत्रित करून आई-बाळाच्या आरोग्यासाठी मनातील इच्छा व्यक्त केल्या जातात.
• सर्वप्रथम गणेश पूजन करून नवीन कार्याचा शुभारंभ केला जातो (प्रारंभ).
• कुलदेवतेची कृपा प्राप्त व्हावी यासाठी मातृका पूजन (कृपा) आणि वसोर्धरा पूजन केले जाते.
• यानंतर आयुष्य मंत्रांचा जप केला जातो, जो उत्तम आरोग्य, दीर्घायुष्य आणि मानसिक-शारीरिक शक्ती वाढवण्यासाठी महत्त्वाचा मानला जातो.
• स्वर्गस्थ पितरांचे स्मरण व सन्मान करण्यासाठी नांदीश्राद्ध केले जाते (सन्मान).
• पुंसवन संस्कारात, वेदोक्त मंत्रांनी पाण्याने भरलेले मातीचे परळ अभिमंत्रित केले जाते तसेच हरळीच्या रसाचा सुगंध गर्भापर्यंत पोहोचवला जातो, ज्याचा उद्देश गर्भशुद्धी व बळकटीकरण असतो.
• सीमंतोन्नयन संस्कारामध्ये, वैदिक मंत्रांचे पठण केले जाते आणि पती आपल्या गर्भवती पत्नीचे सीमंत विनयन करतात, ज्यामुळे आईचे मन स्थिर व प्रसन्न राहते.
• महत्त्वाचे म्हणजे या दोन्ही संस्कारांमध्ये, संस्कार पतीने गर्भवती पत्नीवर करायचे असतात. त्या वेळी आम्ही वेदोक्त मंत्रपठण करतो.
• यानंतर होम-हवन करून आहुती दिली जाते (शांती), ज्यामुळे वातावरण शुद्ध होते व नकारात्मक ऊर्जा नष्ट होते.

What is the Garbha Sanskar ritual and why is it performed?
